Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SetLinks (the "Service"), a smart-link platform operated by {{LEGAL_ENTITY}}, with a registered address at {{ADDRESS}} ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms take effect on {{EFFECTIVE_DATE}}. By creating an account, accessing the dashboard, or using any link created through the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
SetLinks lets you create a single short link that resolves each visitor's platform at the moment they click it — iPhone and iPad visitors are sent to the App Store, Android visitors to Google Play or RuStore, Huawei devices to AppGallery, and desktop visitors to a destination you configure — falling back to a mandatory fallback URL you set when a visitor's platform cannot be confidently determined. The Service also generates scannable QR codes for your links and reports click and scan analytics for your account's team.
3. Accounts & Registration
Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication, via Google Single Sign-On or an email and password you choose. We do not store your password ourselves. On your first sign-in, we automatically provision a team for you and make you its owner. As the owner of a team, you may invite other people to join it by email and assign them the admin or member role; invitations may be sent to an email address that has not yet registered, and are accepted when that person signs in for the first time.
4. Plans & Limits
SetLinks offers Free, Pro, and Business plans. Each plan carries limits on the number of links you may create, the number of monthly clicks a plan covers, the availability of custom slugs, and the number of team members you may invite. Current limits for each plan are published on our pricing page and are enforced automatically; we do not restate specific numbers in these Terms because published limits may change independently of this document.
5. Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly, in United States Dollars (USD), and processed by Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe"). We do not store your card details ourselves — Stripe is the system of record for your subscription's status, and our own records of your plan are a cache of what Stripe reports. Cancelling a subscription takes effect according to the cancellation flow described in the dashboard at the time you cancel.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Link to content that is illegal in the jurisdiction from which it is accessed;
- Abuse reserved slugs, attempt to reserve slugs in bad faith, or interfere with the platform-detection mechanism in a way intended to mislead visitors about their destination;
- Create accounts or teams through automated, bulk, or scripted means.
7. Intellectual Property
SetLinks and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including its software, branding, and documentation. You retain all rights to the content at the destinations your links point to; we claim no ownership over it.
8. Termination
Either you or we may terminate your access to the Service at any time. You may delete your account from the dashboard; we may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms. See our Privacy Policy for how account and team data is handled after termination.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. Platform detection is a best-effort determination based on the visitor's device and browser signals at the moment of the click: when a visitor's platform cannot be confidently determined, they are sent to your fallback URL rather than left without a destination. We do not warrant that platform detection will be correct for every visitor or every device. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of {{JURISDICTION}}, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of a material change by email or by an in-dashboard banner before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
