One link for RuStore, App Store and Google Play
If your app is in RuStore, you have one more address to share — and one more way for a link to land in the wrong store. SetLinks — smart links for apps — puts RuStore into the same link and QR code as the App Store, Google Play and AppGallery.
Where a phone goes
A link holds an address for each store. When someone opens it, the device is recognised and sent on:
- iPhone and iPad → App Store.
- Android → Google Play; if the link has no Google Play address, → RuStore.
- Huawei and Honor → AppGallery; if the link has no AppGallery address, → RuStore.
- Computer → your website, otherwise the fallback.
An Android phone with Google Play is sent to Google Play when the link has both addresses. If you want Android users to install from RuStore — because your app is only there, or because it is the store you support — leave the Google Play address empty, and every Android phone will go to RuStore.
Set it up
- Find the RuStore address of your app:
https://www.rustore.ru/catalog/app/followed by the package name, for examplehttps://www.rustore.ru/catalog/app/ru.example.app. - Create a link and paste the RuStore address alongside the App Store, Google Play and AppGallery ones you have.
- Set a fallback: the page every other device gets, such as your website.
- Check it: open the device redirect test on a phone to see where it would land, then share the link or download its QR code.
Why one link instead of a row of badges
A page with four store badges asks people to know which store their phone uses. Many do not. A link that decides for them skips that step, works in a bio or a message where only one link fits, and fits into a single QR code on a poster or package.
What you see
Clicks by day, platform, country and source, with QR scans counted on their own and link-preview bots left out. Change the stores at any time — the address and printed codes stay the same.
Questions
Can a link send Android users to RuStore instead of Google Play?
Yes: leave the link’s Google Play address empty. Android phones then go to RuStore. When a link has both, Google Play comes first.
Does it work with RuStore’s own buttons?
Yes. RuStore’s buttons link to your app’s RuStore page; a SetLinks link can be used next to them, or instead of a row of badges.
